Water damage questions
How long does it take to dry out water damage?
Most properties take 3–5 days to dry, depending on how much water there was and what materials got wet. We measure moisture daily and stop only when readings are back to normal.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
Most home and business policies cover sudden water damage, like a burst pipe or a failed water heater. Sewer backup and overland flooding often need separate coverage. We document everything for your adjuster and can bill your insurer directly.
Can I clean it up myself?
You can mop up a small amount of clean water right away. But water soaks into drywall, insulation and subfloors, where household fans cannot dry it. If it is more than a small spill, or it came from a sewer backup, call us — hidden moisture can turn into mold within 24–48 hours.
Do I need to leave my home during the work?
Usually not. Most families stay home while we dry and repair. Drying equipment runs day and night and can be noisy. If there is sewage, or you are left without a kitchen or bathroom, we will tell you and help document extra living costs for your insurer.
